Southwestern Bell Telephone Company is a household name and has been around for almost 87 years. Now doing business as AT & T West, this company has been through breakups Rollercoaster years and has evolved as the latest technology. Companies headquartered in Dallas, Texas, but provides national and international services.
Originally southwestern Bell Telephone Company was founded to take the day to day operation of the phone two other companies, which specialized in many telegraph and other phone companies. The two companies & Telegraph and Telephone Co., Bell Telephone Company.

Sitini four years later, in 1984, AT & T SWB escape, but allowed to continue SWBYPS (southwest of Bell Yellow Pages). After the breakup of AT & T, Bell Telephone Company is managed by Southwest Bell Corporation southwest of seven small companies owned by SWBT. Both companies are usually referred to as simple southwestern Bell, but they last changed their official name in 1995 to SBC Communications, Inc., a national company.

Imaging & Branding
After buying a lot from the late 90's, he became involved SBC name, many Bell Operating Companies.
One of the first major brand / logo that changes in southwestern Bell used Bell as a symbol along with SBC Global Network divisor C. diameter and Pacific Telesis get a special color.
Prior to this, Bell southwestern never advertised union with holding company, like other Bell has done with the Bell Operating Companies after 1984.
In 2000, Bell logo was dropped from the official logo of the Bell-west. In 2001, SBC decided to change from the old font in the south and west of Bell SBC Global Network completely, and put the company before the SBC logo name southwest of Bell, the name under the C beginning of SBC. Finally, in 2002, SBC dropped the name of his company, so not only as the national SBC brand.
